A World of Opportunity in Three Open FIGs!

Looking to work in Public Relations, Non-Profit Management, International Business, or anything else that connects with regions outside the US? Interested in getting on the path to study abroad bearly in your college career? Check out three of our remaining open FIGs, all of which focus on regions outside the US and all of which will let you start your first year by learning about something new!

 

Development Safari combines Swahili 101 language class with International Studies 240: Perspectives on International Development! The FIG asks questions about global development, and how ideas of development influences global policy today.

Exploring Africa is one of our Challenge FIGs, letting students take an indepth look at a topic by taking an upper division class as a part of the FIG. This FIG combines International Studies with Antrhopology, looking at the complexities of contemporary African soieties through the lens of these two classes.

Yalla Arabia! Take a look inside the culture and histrory of the Arab world by studying the Arabic language, and the Religious Studies course 233, Introduction to Islam. This class will explore historic and contemporary contexts, looking at identity, media, and social perceptions.
