The School of Journalism and Communication (SOJC) Transfer Seminar is available to students declared in one of the four SOJC majors (Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, or Media Studies). As a transfer student in your first term in the SOJC,  this course will plug you directly into a number of resources available in the SOJC and on campus at large. Each week, we will also discuss how these resources can support each student not only during their time at UO, but also beyond as they launch their careers in media and communications. 

You will have opportunities to meet and develop productive, professional relationships with SOJC instructors, students, and alumni to gain insight into the ins and outs of the SOJC. You will also gain an understanding of how to navigate academic requirements to complete your UO education in a timely manner and gain experience outside of the classroom to successfully enter the job market upon graduation.
