Flourishing and Resilience FIG Instructor and Assistant
FIG Instructor: Megan Lipsett
Hi everyone! My name is Megan Lipsett (she/her), and I am a psychologist, health educator, and researcher focused on mindfulness, stress, resilience, and whole-person well-being. I serve as Co-Director of the Center for the Science and Practice of Well-Being at the University of Oregon, where my work explores how mindfulness, behavior change, social connection, and community factors influence mental and physical health. My research has focused on topics including stress physiology, resilience, chronic illness prevention, and flourishing, and I have led and collaborated on intervention studies examining how people build well-being during challenging times and major life transitions. My work has been supported through collaborations and training programs at institutions including the University of Oregon and OHSU.
Outside of work, I love hiking, weaving baskets, meditating, and spending time outdoors in Oregon forests.
Hi everyone! My name is Lily Rose, and I am the FIG Assistant for Flourishing and Resilience: Finding Your Place in College! I am a Neuroscience and Human Physiology major, and I will be a junior this upcoming fall. I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, for high school. While both places will always feel like home, I have absolutely fallen in love with Oregon and everything it has to offer. In my free time, you can usually find me outdoors. I love skiing, hiking, climbing, and challenging myself to summit mountains whenever I get the chance. I also love dancing and am a member of the University of Oregon Hip Hop Team. Whether I'm outside on an adventure or dancing, I love staying active and trying new things. I am also a huge music lover, so feel free to send me your favorite songs or artists! My favorite thing, though, is spending time with my friends and family. They are a huge part of who I am and always keep me grounded, no matter where life takes me. I was in a FIG during my freshman year, and it had such a positive impact on my transition to college. It helped me build connections, find my place at the University of Oregon, and feel more confident navigating my first year. Because of that experience, I am so excited to be a part of this program and help support you throughout your own college journey. I can't wait to meet all of you this fall! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help!
