Hi everyone! My name is Hope Healey, and I’ll be the instructor of record for our FIG, Your Inner Fish. I’m really excited to teach the FIG for the first time, and introduce you to genomics, development, evolution, and paleontology. I am a Bioinformatics Lecturer for the Knight Campus Bioinformatics and Genomics Master’s Track. I am passionate about teaching students how to code, analyze biological datasets, and communicate their science. I am also particularly enthusiastic about fish, both academically and outside of work. Outside of teaching, I enjoy tending to my aquarium, baking desserts, knitting, hiking, and playing with my 3 cats.
I am looking forward to meeting and hearing from you all! Please feel free to reach out to me over email.
Hi Guys! I’m Alex, and I am so excited to be your FIG assistant! I’m majoring in Marine Biology with a minor in Environmental Studies! I’m from Chicago, and I love going on hikes or walks, hanging out with my friends, reading, trying new places here in Eugene, and going to sporting events! Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have! I’m always here to chat regardless of the topic, and I love meeting new people! Don’t be afraid to reach out with any questions or concerns! I’m excited to meet everyone this Fall!
