The Serve the Community category of FIG Hunters is worth a total of 785 points.

1. Volunteer in the community as a group and document your service– seek out opportunities at the Holden Center. 75 points.

2. Donate blood during the Civil War Blood Drive. – 95 points.

3. Many local schools are in need of materials for arts and music. Organize a donation drive with your FIG to buy supplies, then donate them to one of Eugene’s local public schools. Take a picture of you or your group donating the supplies to the school, featuring a teacher or administrator. – 85 points.

4. Have members of your FIG get First-Aid and CPR certified. – 30 points for each member.

5. The holidays are a time of giving. Celebrate thanksgiving as a FIG by giving food to others (volunteer at a food bank, collect canned food for the student food pantry, etc.) – 100 points.

6. Post positive, upbeat messages in a public place (where it is legal and not permanently marking a space). Jokes, compliments, inspirational quotes—all are acceptable. –30 points.

7. Volunteer as a group to help garden, clean up, and otherwise spruce up the environment. Possible opportunities, Food for Lane County Gardens, UO Campus Community Gardens, Hendricks Park, Alton Baker Park/River Walk, Mt. Pisgah Arboretum, Skinner’s Butte, and more – 125 points. Bonus 25 points if there’s more than one FIG involved.

8. Collect and donate food/clothing/book drive on campus for a Eugene community organization. - 150 points. Bonus 25 points if the organization makes a social media post commending your FIG.

9. Create small care packages for students from another FIG during a joint-study session for midterms. Kindness always makes midterms more bearable! - 95 points.
