Product Design FIG Instructor and Assistant

Hello everyone! My name is Anthony Tatangelo and I would like to welcome you to our Fig. I am the College of Design’s academic advisor based in Portland. I have been living in Oregon for the past year, and have called the Pacific Northwest home since I was 12, having lived in Washington and now Oregon. I received my undergraduate degree in History/Social Studies from Western Washington University and my Master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education in 2019, also from Western. Now living in Portland, I very much enjoy getting to explore the city and its restaurants, and hiking the local trails.

I want to welcome you all, and let you know that I am incredibly excited to get to work with you and help you begin your journey here at the University of Oregon. I want this to be a collaborative, community building space, where we can learn together about the program and resources on campus.

Hey there, my name is Tessa and I can't wait to be your FIG Assistant this year! I absolutely loved being a part of a FIG in my first year, and I think it's a really great way to meet new people and get introduced to the university. I'm studying Product Design with a minor in Spanish, and I'm originally from Davis, California. When I'm not working on a project for a PD class, which is admittedly what I'm doing most of the time, I love taking random UO PE classes, walking around in some of the beautiful Eugene parks, trying to find the time to go camping and hiking, designing sets for plays, and exploring new activities and events around campus!

I know we're going to have such a fun Fall term together, but if you have any questions/comments/concerns at all about Product Design, starting your first term at UO, which cupcake at the Carson dining hall is the best flavor (first place chai, second place passionfruit), or really about anything else, don't hesitate to reach out and send me an email! Can't wait to see everyone in class!

Hi! My name is Lily, and my pronouns are she/her. I am the FA for the Product Design fig, and I’m a product design major! This will be my third year here at UO and my first year as an FA. In addition to product design, I am also a part of the honors college. I got interested in product design because of my love of creating and crafting! I love to be outdoors, whether that’s hiking, camping, or backpacking (especially if it’s with my family!), and this is where a lot of my inspiration comes from for my designs. My favorite Eugene activities include exploring all of the coffee shops (Tessa and I are determined to go to all of them!), clubs at UO (Plant Club and IDSA), taking Outdoor Pursuits Program classes, and biking/walking around town.
