Product Design FIG Instructor and Assistant

Hello everyone! My name is Anthony Tatangelo and I would like to welcome you to our Fig. I am the College of Design’s academic advisor based in Portland. I have been living in Oregon for the past year, and have called the Pacific Northwest home since I was 12, having lived in Washington and now Oregon. I received my undergraduate degree in History/Social Studies from Western Washington University and my Master’s degree in Adult and Higher Education in 2019, also from Western. Now living in Portland, I very much enjoy getting to explore the city and its restaurants, and hiking the local trails.

I want to welcome you all, and let you know that I am incredibly excited to get to work with you and help you begin your journey here at the University of Oregon. I want this to be a collaborative, community building space, where we can learn together about the program and resources on campus.

Hey there, my name is Tessa and I can't wait to be your FIG Assistant this year! I absolutely loved being a part of a FIG in my first year, and I think it's a really great way to meet new people and get introduced to the university. I'm studying Product Design with a minor in Spanish, and I'm originally from Davis, California. When I'm not working on a project for a PD class, I love playing on the women's club rugby team (go dirty ducks!), using the ceramics studio in the Craft Center, walking around in some of the beautiful Eugene parks, trying to find the time to go camping and hiking, designing sets for plays, and exploring new activities and events around campus!

I know we're going to have such a fun Fall term together, but if you have any questions/comments/concerns at all about Product Design, starting your first term at UO, which cupcake at the Carson dining hall is the best flavor (first place chai, second place passionfruit), or really about anything else, don't hesitate to reach out and send me an email! Can't wait to see everyone in class!

Hi all! My name is Lyndsey and I am thrilled to be one of the Product Design FIG assistants this year. I'm a Product Design Major student with a minor in Dance. I'm from Oahu, Hawaii (yessah!), though I miss the island life UO and the "mainland" has been such a life-changing experience that I'm glad I didn't miss out on. 

As a Product Design major, I thoroughly enjoy not only designing, but also researching and trying to find numerous solutions to a problem through design. When I'm not in classes, you'll find me dancing, on the beach, or just eating some good food. A current hobby I've been into lately would have to be reading. My favorite book so far is "The Maid" by Nita Prose.

I'm truly looking forward to this school year and can't wait to get to know new faces and be a genuinely beneficial source to you all! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me! I'll gladly help you all to the best of my abilities."
