Hello! My name is Noah Glusman, and I’ll be leading the seminar for our First Year Interest Group (FIG), Order in the Court. I’m excited to be part of the FIG program, as my own experience as a first-year student in a FIG was a pivotal part of my undergraduate journey at the University of Oregon. Originally from Northern California, I have called Eugene home for over 20 years. I graduated from the University of Oregon with a double major in Political Science and Geography. Later, I returned to UO to pursue a master’s degree in education, focusing on high school social studies. After teaching US History, AP US Government, and World History, I decided to attend law school. My passion for law and education led me to my current role as the Managing Director of the Legal Studies Program at the University of Oregon School of Law. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters, traveling internationally, following English football, participating in trivia nights with friends, and attending live music events of any genre. I look forward to welcoming first-year students to the campus community, helping them navigate college life, and exploring the intersections of law and geography.
Hi everyone! My name is Lauren, and I’m from Dallas, Texas. I’m a third-year student majoring in Political Science with minors in Legal Studies and Classical Civilizations. I’m extremely passionate about what I study, but outside of academics, I love baking, arts and crafts, taking naps, going on adventures with friends around Oregon, and traveling. Ask me about my trip to South Africa!
This will be my second year as a FIG Assistant, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the program again. Being involved within this organization has been such a meaningful experience for me, and I’m looking forward to helping new students build community, feel supported, and make the most of their first year at UO. I can’t wait to meet you all!
