Diego Duarte
FIG Assistant: Diego Duarte

Hey everyone! My name is Diego Duarte (he/him) and I will be the FIG Assistant for "Just Futures." I will be in my second year at the University of Oregon, studying History. I was in a FIG during my first term, and am so excited to help provide that experience to incoming first year students.

I grew up in and around Chicago, Illinois, but I've been loving my last year in Eugene and the Western US in general. I'm a big fan of nature and hiking, and the opportunities for that are abundant out here. In my free time I'm constantly reading books and watching movies, and I love to discuss both of those. I enjoy running, hiking, and playing soccer (casually).

I can't wait to start working with you all in the Just Futures FIG. It's a really exciting topic for me as someone interested in sociology and involved with climate activism. I'm also looking forward to meeting all of you, and would love to get a head start on that! Feel free to reach out via email, share a little bit about yourself, and/or ask any questions about the FIG, the UO, or life in general. See you in the fall!
