FIG Instructor: Randy Sullivan - Department of Chemistry, College of Arts and Sciences

Randy Sullivan is the Lecture Demonstrator and a Senior Instructor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He is also the current President of the University Senate. He says that ever since he was a kid he has been teaching anything to anybody who would sit still long enough to listen. “I love teaching chemistry because it is the science of stuff, the stuff that everything is made of. So chemistry makes us think abstractly about things that are really concrete. I mean, we are around stuff all day, every day.”

FIG Assistant: La'i

Hi! My name is La’i (she/her) and I am excited to be your FA for The Problem with Problems FIG! I am from O’ahu, Hawai’i and am part of the Hui ‘O Hawai’i club here at UO! In my free time I like to be outdoors and go on walks to find the best study spots. When it’s raining, I like to stay in and watch movies and I am always open to movie recs! I was in a FIG in my first year and it was a really great experience where I got the chance to meet so many great people that I still talk to today and I am excited to be a part of that experience for you! See you in the fall and feel free to reach out with any questions you might have!
