Does everyone want the same development? Who gets to decide what development means? This FIG pushes students to use the Swahili worldview from East Africa to interrogate dominant global models of International development.

This FIG will take a long term perspective on how human societies affect and have been affected by their environments. We will explore issues such as climate change, sustainability, and traditional ecological knowledge.

The purpose of this FIG is to consider the possibilities and challenges of rethinking -12 education and our role in education change.
