This FIG gives students the chance to be part of a group that thinks together about their individual language-learning processes, as well as how the process is different when you learn quite different languages: Arabic, Chinese, and Portuguese. We will see first-hand how different the first-year language learning experience can be, we will support each other to succeed whichever language we are working on, and we will have fun outside of class while we do it (because language *is* bigger than the university!).
Students explore the intersection of topics by taking the following course package:
LING 199 College Connections - FIG Seminar, 1-credit
