Explore the hidden history of diversity at UO and throughout the state of Oregon by investigating archival records, photographs, and letters, as well as talks with local community members; and develop skills to interpret primary sources within the contexts of history and ethnic studies.

This FIG links the history and study of hip-hop music to histories and current debates about racial politics, civil rights, and racial justice.

The ideas covered in this FIG help bridge the gap between research going on in the science world and the events that occur in our daily lives.
