Featured FIGs: Animal Behavior, Bella Italia!, and Breaking the Wall

These three featured FIGS are part of the broader FIG offerings for fall of 2016. To see the full list please visit the Finding the FIG For You page.

This FIG is for students interested in animal behavior, especially primates, and includes
field trips to see animals behaving at the Oregon Zoo and the Cascades Raptor Center.

Bella Italia! looks at some of Italy’s most exciting contributions to the world – including the Renaissance, the Roman Empire, Italian cuisine, Italian movies, and, of course, the Mafia.

In this FIG, students explore what motivates people to submit to authority figures from the different perspectives of German studies and social psychology. At the heart of the FIG is the notion of personal responsibility and global engagement set against the backdrop of the best and worst of human nature.
