We are offering five different Global Bridge iFIGs for the fall with multiple sections for the Business & Economics iFIG. Select a FIG based on which classes sound interesting to you.

iFIG Assistant: Taylor King

Taylor King is an International Studies major with Business and African Studies minors. Her passion for travel was sparked during a trip she took to Uganda in 2013. Since then, she has traveled to four East African countries, spending about a year between them all. At the UO, she is actively involved in the Swahili program and the DEMA West African Dance group. Apart from her activities and interests around Africa, she enjoys photography, singing and spending time with friends and family. Taylor is so excited that you have chosen to be a part of this FIG and looks forward to meeting you in the fall and getting to know your story. iFIG Assistant: Taylor Eldridge

Taylor Eldridge graduated from the University of Oregon in 2017 with a Bachelors of Art in English and Spanish with a minor in Special Education. She is now in her first year of study to obtain a Master’s Degree in Special Education, which will allow her to pursue her passion for education and helping others within the general education school system. In addition to working for the FIG Program, she worked at the Jaqua Center on campus providing academic support for athletes and was a tutor for the AVID Program in Eugene. iFIG Assistant: Samantha Marshall

Sam Marshall is from Southern California, Newport Beach area. She is a Finance major with a minor in Architecture. On campus, she is involved in the Alpha Phi sorority. Off campus, she works at Thompson University Center in property control doing finance and inventory work. When Sam was a freshman she was a part of the Urban Garden FIG and credits her successful transition from high school to college to her FIG experience. iFIG Assistant: Emilly Andrade

Emilly Andrade has been a student at the University of Oregon for two years, and she is originally from Brazil. She is the FIG Assistant for the Media Mania FIG and she is currently studying journalism and dreams of working in a fashion magazine in the future. She grew up in Japan, and she speaks three languages fluently. Emilly enjoys dancing and photography, and her interests include learning languages and computer science! iFIG Assistant: Rhaine Clarke

Rhaine is a third year student attending the Robert D. Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon, studying International Comparative Development, Women’s & Gender Studies, and African Studies. She hopes to work with nonprofit development organizations with a focus on gender and environmental justice in the region of East Africa after graduation. Through this FIG, Rhaine hopes to develop a supportive community to aid in your transition to the University of Oregon. iFIG Assistant: Rachel Alm

Rachel Alm was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is currently a History major focused on United States military history but she has switched majors 6 times so her academic background is in a number of different fields. At the University of Oregon, she has been involved in research through the Linguistics and Political Science departments and is involved with the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics through their scholars program. In addition to her academic interests, she is passionate about inclusive recreation and hopes for a future in which sports are accessible to everyone. iFIG Assistant: Zijing Zhang

Zijing Zhang is a third year student at the University of Oregon. She is majoring in Biology, with a special interest in molecular and cellular biology. Originally from China, Zijing Zhang is an international student who has been in the states for three years but is still trying to get used to American food. On campus, Zijing serves as a volunteer for the Sail/Aspire Program and devotes much of her time to helping high school students apply to colleges. When she's not working, she enjoys playing the piano, reading, and practicing yoga. For this year’s FIG, she intends to host picnics or have a movie night with students, and visit some amazing places in Eugene to show why UO is a worthwhile place to come.
